We have been off the map for the last week with no internet or phone, therefore we haven’t been able to update our blog. Here’s a what’s been going on…

We spent a few days in Eliot, ME. We encountered the first campsite that we would never go back to again (Indian Rivers Campground). The people were friendly but the campground was really run down. We should have known better when the road to get to the campsite was almost impossible to fit through, definitely no room for two way traffic! When Jon tried to plug into the electrical outlet it started on fire, so he had to plug into a different sites electrical box. The office, laundry room, and “game room” were in shambles. For our fellow travelers we recommend staying elsewhere. Although it was quiet and we had a decent view of the lake through the trees as shown below.

While we were in Eliot we took a day trip to York, ME. We enjoyed the views at York Harbor Beach and saw the Cape Neddick “Nubble” Light house. Not to mention some yummy ice cream at Fox’s Lobster House which we HIGHLY recommend!

The last week was spent at Great Pond, ME. A beautiful, quiet military campground but there were tons of mosquitos! We were happy to spend a few days without any internet, phone, or cable and just enjoy family time.

Look for our next blog post about our day trips to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park!
