Home… WEEK ONE
Our family is back in Pennsylvania! We are spending a few weeks at home until we start making our way to Florida. It has been a busy first week with birthdays, doctor appointments, and visiting with family and friends.
First stop was Mel’s birthday at the VFW! Wheres Madison? With her Grammy! This was the first night Jon and I enjoyed without our little one in months! So glad we were able to come back early to celebrate with Mel.
The next night we planned a game night at Dave’s to watch the Eagles vs Patriots game. (GO PATRIOTS!) A great night with great friends, Madison even joined in our card game.
Tuesday Madison and I were fortunate to have an Olive Garden get together with some of my closest family members. (Daddy had doctor appointments and errands to run.) I’m glad we got to spend some time together since we won’t be in town again until Christmas. A special good luck shout out to Amanda, she is starting her first year in college next week!
Wednesday Madison had a 5 month check up. She is in the 50 percentile for weight (14 lbs 10oz) and 75 percentile for height (26″). Our poor baby had to get three shots, although the first one didn’t faze her, by the second one she was crying. Luckily with a little distraction looking at toys she soon forgot why she was crying.
This week we started Madison on stage 1 Gerber food. So far she has tried apples, bananas, and sweet potatoes. As you can see below she sticks out her tongue to tell us she wants more. We can’t believe how fast she is growing!
Friday night we had a fondue party for my moms 50th birthday. Lots of yummy food and laughs with close friends. HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM!!! I am so blessed that you are my mother.
By the way…check out the book ALL AMERICAN HEARTS by Joseph Baddick. The first chapter is written about Jon. Let us know what you think!
